More than 15 years in global HR—including living and working in Japan—give Dr. Ashley a view of change from inside the organization.
Her experience spans workforce systems, employee engagement, and cross-cultural leadership. She understands the pressure to implement a new direction and the human experiences that can complicate it.
Healing Work-Hurt® brings those perspectives together. The 4R framework gives participants a practical way to connect what they have experienced with how they choose to lead and work next.
THE SIGNATURE EXPERIENCE
Healing Is Professional Development.
Restructuring, layoffs, leadership transitions, and AI can change what an organization needs from its people. But what happened before can shape how those people respond now.
In Healing Work-Hurt®, Dr. Ashley Dash connects more than 15 years of global HR experience with candid storytelling and her Recognize, Reflect, Reframe, Rebuild framework. Participants examine how workplace experiences may influence confidence, communication, trust, and leadership—and identify one practical step they can take next.
Designed for leaders, managers, and experienced professionals, the experience makes room for honest reflection without requiring personal disclosure.
Review the planning process ↗WHAT THIS MAKES POSSIBLE AT WORK
Change needs more than a new plan. It needs people who can ask questions, rebuild working relationships, and take the next step.
Recognize when a past experience is shaping a present response—and choose a more intentional conversation, boundary, or next action.
Look beneath hesitation and resistance, open a more useful conversation, and understand that rebuilding trust takes consistent action.
Create shared language for the human side of change, supporting clearer communication, participation, and readiness to put new expectations into practice.
These are the capabilities the experience is designed to support. Lasting change also depends on leadership behavior, workplace conditions, and follow-through.
THE HEALING WORK-HURT® 4R FRAMEWORK
A practical way to recognize a pattern, examine its influence, and choose what happens next—without asking people to share more than they want to.
Notice what happened and how it may be affecting the way you lead, communicate, or respond.
Examine the beliefs and reactions connected to that experience.
Question the story that is limiting confidence, trust, or possibility.
Choose one practical step: a conversation, a boundary, or an opportunity pursued.
REFLECTION THAT RESPECTS THE ROOM
Healing Work-Hurt® is an educational keynote and training experience focused on workplace patterns, professional reflection, and practical action.
It is not therapy, diagnosis, or a substitute for mental health care. Participants are not required to describe difficult experiences, disclose personal information, or share their reflections with the room.
The focus is what people can recognize and choose next. Individual tools complement an organization’s responsibility to address harmful conditions and follow through on its commitments.
THE EXPERIENCE IN THE ROOM
“Dr. Ashley Dash has a remarkable ability to transform a traditionally dry topic into an engaging, practical learning experience. She kept our audience fully engaged while equipping them with technology tools they could immediately apply, which is why we have invited her back multiple times.”
“As I listened to Dr. Dash explain Work-Hurt and its impact, I became aware of how greatly it had influenced decisions throughout my career. Even with a successful career, realizing that something I had not recognized held that much influence over me gave me pause.”
AFTER THE APPLAUSE
The aim is an intentional response people can put into practice—not reflection that ends when the session does.
LEAVE WITH AN ACTION
Participants identify a pattern, choose one practical next step, and consider when they will take it. That might be preparing a difficult conversation, setting a boundary, or approaching an opportunity.
Take the Work-Hurt Assessment ↗A self-reflection resource for professional development; not a clinical assessment or diagnosis.
REINFORCE AS A LEADER
Try: “What would help you put your next step into practice?” Invite voluntary discussion of actions and support needed. Avoid asking employees to disclose what they reflected on.
